- Course objectives
- Students will demonstrate skills to recognize and exploit the psychological possibilities of working with themselves, emphasizing the importance of self-reflection and supervision not only for guidance, but also in search of personal and professional limits. They learn to combine theoretical knowledge with experiece and use their experience for the modeling of possible solutions and work with clients with "problem".
- Syllabus
- Verbal and nonverbal communication and their role in social intercourse. Communication styles. Importance of social perception and perceptual errors in communication. Techniques for active listening. Providing feedback, constructive criticism, methods of evaluation. Ways of bridging the communication barriers, communication under stress, communicating with troubled clients. Cooperation and communication with parents, other members of the teaching staff. Management counseling interview (arrangement, management of counseling interviews, the work with contract, training counseling interview).
