- The course is primarily intended for students of bachelor and master studies of German language and literature at the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts, but students from other fields are welcome.

- Course objectives
- The course is implemented within the development of a methodological portal for teaching cultural competences on the website of the Department of German Language and Literature of the Faculty of Education of MU. The portal will provide theoretical and practical background for working with authentic texts, and is a supportive tool for stepping out of the four walls of the learning space and confronting students-teachers and their future pupils with language reality (authentic inscriptions such as advertising, traffic signs and instructions, others instructions, other street texts, etc., but also authentic recordings and short films). Within this course, students in the first phase will acquire a theoretical basis in the field of teaching cultural competences and will learn about concepts such as "linguistic landscapes", "Dual Coding Theory", "internal and external content visualization" and others.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students will be able to work with a authentic texts at school.
