- Course objectives
- Pedagogical diagnostics is a pedagogical discipline that deals with recognizing, assassement and evaluation process of the contentual and structural educational aspects of the process leading to optimisation of particular and social development of the child, pupil (student). The former teachers will learn theoretical base of the subject and they will improve their diagnostic skills.

- Syllabus
- 1. Self- evaluation in teacher's work. Student evaluation of teaching. Developing a teacher's diagnostic competence and reflection. 2. Pedagogical assessment of the pupil (student) in the conditions of school teaching. Assessment of pupils' learning process: learning competences, pupils' learning processes, diagnosis of pupils' understanding in teaching. 3. Assessment of pupils' learning styles, student motivation. Student (school) performance. Student conceptions and misconceptions (concept cartoons, conceptual maps). Formative assessment (student portfolio, ICT use). Strategy for oral and written examination. 4. Preparation of a simple didactic test or questions for oral examination and evaluation criteria. 5. Pedagogical assessemnt of educational activities. Diagnostics of pupils' behavior: observation, diagnostics of interaction, self-assessment of pupils. Individual education plan. The role of the teacher as a contact person in case of behavioral problems, cooperation with the school counseling center and other specialists (psychologist, psychotherapist, social worker, etc.) and work with the recommendation of specialists. Support pupils in class. 6. Assessment of the social climate of the school class. Social Relations in Classroom. Psychosocial climate class as a diagnostic problem. Assessment of pupils' attitudes. Projective techniques. Projects as diagnostic tools. Diagnosis of students' self-conception in the field of learning / subjects (check-lists); fear of school and exercise; attention. Assessemnt of pupils' talents. Double exception.
