- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to deepen students' communicative competence at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students consolidate acquired communicative competence (linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic). Grammatical and lexical structures are practiced in different communication situations. The exercises and activities are focused on the development of receptive and expressive skills. The course is based on authentic material introducing different aspects of the target culture.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students should able to: - understand texts dealing with contemporary problem, - apply all mastered grammar in practice, - interpret data found in texts, - give an argumentative speech on current topics.
- Syllabus
- Sylabus of the course (work with the textbook Le nouvel édito B1 and other supplementary material, 1 topic = 2 weeks) 1. Sous le même toit, colocation pour améliorer son française (passé composé – imparfait; utilisation du subjonctif). 2. Étudier à l’étranger (pronoms personnels et pronoms relatifs). 3. Communication, outils de communication, leurs avantages et nuisibilité (nominalisation, négation). 4. Vivre seul, en couple, en famille – éducation et habitudes (comparatif, superlatif, opposition, concession). 5. Moyens de transport – questions économiques (indicateurs du temps). 6. Voyages et tourisme (concordance des temps).
