- Course objectives
- After completing this seminar the students are able to interpret differences in pronunciation between German and Czech vowels, diphthongs and consonamts and characterize typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speakers.
- Learning outcomes
- The student knows how to characterize the difference in pronunciation of Czech and German vowels, diphthongs, and consonants. He can identify his own mistakes in pronunciation and so gain proper pronunciation. He knows how to avoid typical mistakes in pronunciation made by native Czech speakers.

- The course NJ_G111 Exercises from German Phonetics 1 follows the theory of the lecture NJ_G100 Phonetics and Phonology of German. The content is focused on the practical training of the correct pronunciation of German sounds, which are problematic for Czech native speakers.
