Course objectives
The task of the discipline is to apply the theoretical knowledge of the course Lexicology and Stylistics 1 in practical analysis of Russian-language texts of various functional styles. The basis of the work of the seminar is a lexical semantic text analysis, analysis of the linguistic resources in the lexical, morphological, syntactic and phonetic. Emphasis is placed on identifying differences in functional stylistics between Czech and Russian.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to describe used vocabulary in terms of functional differentiation, characterize functional styles and used language means, find and define differences between Czech and Russian, determine and predict current trends of vocabulary development and changes in functional style characterization.
Syllabus
  • 1. Convenient lexical-semantic analysis of words and neutral konotovaných and their use in various stylistic levels of the text. 2. Analysis of samples of professional functional style. Determining the types of Russian-speaking professional terminology and collocations. Resume third thesis. Specifics of Russian professional style. Comparison of Russian and Czech. 3. Analysis of samples genres Administrative functional style. Working with steady phraseological phrase. 4. Analysis of journalistic functional style of current periodicals. Names of articles and determining the figurative meanings of words. 5. Analysis specifics conversational style. Russian General. 6. Russian-speaking blogs and chats. The mass media. 7. Special Characteristics and linguistic peculiarities of artistic functional style. Practical demonstration analysis of prose and poetic text. 8. The tropics. Stylistic devices. Search in Russian-language text. Practical training. 9. Analysis of emotional and expressive vocabulary in Russian. Identification and characterization of the various functional styles. 10. Work with synonymickými rows, their roles and use different stylistic levels. 11. Identify and semantics interlingual homonyms. Semantic of Russian and Czech. 12. Antonyms dictionary, author and contextual. The place and use of functional styles.
