Course objectives
The aim of the course is the application of the acquired knowledge of electricity and magnetism at the university level. Emphasis is placed on the skills necessary for teaching of physics at the primary school. Objectives: Knowledge: A comprehensive set of knowledge of electricity and magnetism with the emphasis on the relationship between the subject matter and reality, e.g. nature, home, technical applications, etc. Skills: To be able to identify the principles of natural processes and technical applications. To be able to make sufficient approximation based on the basic laws of physics and consequently carry out the calculations of application examples. To know simple experiments and the relationship between the subject matter and practical application. To be able to make a reasonable estimate of values. Attitudes: To learn the value of objectivity and significance of the scientific work.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to apply/know: Basic laws of the Electricity and Magnetism Identify electricity/magnetism principles involved in natural phenomena or technical applications Describe simple experiments and conections with practical applications Solve simple applied problems
