Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to develop students' potential to draw according to reality. Drawing from a live model intensively strengthens analytical vision, hand-eye coordination; students improve their ability to talk about drawing and understand the didactic aspects of its mastery.
Learning outcomes
The student will understand the basic procedures of analytical/studio drawing. He/she will be able to independently compose a figure into a format, accurately depict its proportions, and master whole drawing in his/her distinctive way with both - knowledge of anatomy and the possibilities of artistic expression.
Syllabus
  • - model observations focused on dynamics and stresses, stability - angle drawing, blocking - basic figure sketching - measurement and correction procedures, corrections to the initial sketch - linear drawing procedures, contour line - light modelling in different materials (possibilities of hatching, graining or combinations of techniques) - final accents in the drawing
