- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire specific skills in the field of popularization of science. During the internship students will work on specific popularization tasks - the output is a student "experiment fair". Each student will prepare a short demonstration (a band of 2 - 3 experiments), which will be presented to the pupils of the high school at the end. The aim is to get the students excited about the topic, to motivate them to further research.
- Learning outcomes
- In the course of the course, the student will acquire the basics of interpretation, improve presentation and communication skills such as working with the voice or interacting with the audience. They will learn how to engage and enthuse students about a topic.
- Syllabus
- The course is divided into 4 teaching blocks of 3 hours each: 1. introduction, basics of interpretation, sample demonstrations, selection of specific student experiments 2. practice of presentation skills, first student demonstrations 3. preparation and practice of partial student demonstrations 4. actual experiment fair eg. in the VIDA! SC
