- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge from the educational area Man and the world of work in the scope of the curriculum of the first level of elementary schools. The theoretical basis (material properties, simple working practices and organization and work safety) is given to the themes of the education field Man and the World of Work. Topics are practiced, including demonstrations and activities for pupils of primary school.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
- create simple objects from traditional and non-traditional materials;
- to use elements of folk traditions in creative activities with different materials;
- choose appropriate tools, tools and tools for the material used;
- design practical exercises for pupils in the subject areas;
- assess work safety and health risks when working with different materials and will be able to explain how to prevent risks;
- maintain order at work, adhere to the principles of hygiene and provide first aid in the event of an accident;
- to master elementary skills and activities when working with construction kits and to perform simple assembly and disassembly when working with building blocks;
- to work with the kit according to the instructions, original, simple sketch. - Syllabus
- Unit 1: Educational field Man and the world of work at elementary school.
- Material properties (natural, paper and cardboard, textiles, yarn, leather, etc.), working tools and tools - function and use, simple work operations and procedures, work organization, folk customs, traditions, crafts.
- Unit 2: Technical and natural materials, small material.
- Possibilities of utilization of various materials in practical activities at elementary school. Used tools and tools.
- Unit 3: Working with building blocks, basics of technical graphics, electrical engineering and robotics.
- Examples of basic types of construction kits and work with them, creation of simple models on given topic. Types of technical bodies and their projection on projections, basics of imaging, types of lines, dimensions and dimensioning. Importance of electrical engineering, production of el. energy. Robotics and its use.

- The student will prepare 3 selected topics for teaching. For one chosen theme, he / she will prepare a presentation, which he will present in the form of teaching at primary school.
