- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will be able to:
explain the difference between the integrated thematic and project-based teaching
in collaboration with schoolmates to design integrated thematic teaching;
create the preparation for given topic;
in collaboration with schoolmates to realize the integrated thematic teaching at elementary school;
reflect the realization of the integrated thematic teaching at elementary school;
present the results of the realization of the integrated thematic teachingi to other groups; - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to: • transforming selected natural sciences content into a curriculum using the appropriate teaching methods, forms and means • identifying problematic areas of nature education, is aware of the continuity in the course across the course, but also the inter-subject relations • by appropriate diagnostic tools to verify the pupils' preconceptions, knowledge and skills, to take into account the findings of these findings in their teaching • critically evaluate and use appropriately the didactic resources available (textbooks, worksheets, texts, pictures, etc.) for the teaching of nature topics and to select or prepare such courses • Didactic means that are both theoretical and didactical - To explain the problem concepts, phenomena and processes to choose appropriate examples and algoheuristic procedures • in their teaching to observe the didactic principles, especially the regional and phenological principle

- The Form of teaching: project teaching, integrated thematic teaching. Methods of teaching: explaining, interview, brainstroming, work with literature, observation, experiment, discussion, hospitation.

- Assessment methods:
- creating of the integrated thematic teaching at elementary school
- presentation of results of realization ITT at elementary school
- processing of proposals for ITT in the form of preparation (seminar work).
Fulfilling requirements: - active participation in seminars (1 absence - 2 hours - is tolerated) - cooperating on realization of ITT (6 lessons) at elementary school - submission of portfolio. The portfolio consists of written preparation for ITT, 2) methodological sheets for individual topics, 3) presentation of the realization (photo documentation, modified audiovisual record, ppt), 4) completed evaluation sheets. - Language of instruction
