Course objectives
Over the course of the semester, the students will form research teams, will choose a topic and will draw a research framework. They will then work on a project dealing with this topic, which they will present. The presentations of research analysis findings will be retro-linked with practice (support of effective practice, project creation). The practically-oriented course will enable the students to gain skills related to project planning, including data collection and analysis.
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course the students will be able to:  Assemble a team and choose a topic for research and the project   Work creatively during project creation  Design a research framework, gather data and analyse it
Syllabus
  • The students will be confronted with a variety of topics related to multicultural education in terms of research and project planning. The students will be offered topics connected with multicultural education, which involve the importance and purpose of ME, racism in society and its products, discrimination, racially-motivated violence, multiculturalism, xenophobia, terrorism, holocausts, genocide, antisemitism, anarchy. Migration – in the past and nowadays, migrants coming into our country, ethnic minorities in our country, status of the Roma, Roma and their social situation, discrimination of some groups in the society (homosexuals, women, people with disabilities). World religions, new religious movements and human rights, etc.

The students will work in teams as part of a fictional organisation. The project will also involve a research investigation.
