Course objectives
The aim of the course is to teach students to use the interventional potential of art activities and processes to strengthen the individual resources SEN persons for managing social interaction, developing mental functions, for self-learning and cognitive processing of experience.
Learning outcomes
Student will understand the importance of the success of personal self-realization of people with disabilities through their creative activities (forms of artistic techniques).
Syllabus
  • - Theoretical insight into the value criteria of normality, abnormality, identity and diversity and methods of art therapy and artephiletic approaches. - Understanding the functions of creative creation as one of the possible tools of capacity building and active participation of people with disabilities in the context of special and inclusive pedagogy. Comprehensive knowledge of intervention strategy such as holistic support and development of man as well as his integration and socialization into society, prevention of crisis situations, strengthening of self-expression of relationships, experiences and communication. - Typology of the concept of disability from medical model to sociocultural model. These models will be interpreted against the background of depictions of disabilities in art and other interdisciplinary backgrounds. - Cultural forms of artistic (artistic) cognition, which are not only individual activities of the individual, but always require the cooperation of many people. Through culture, people are thus able to cope with the pressures of nature not only by physiological adaptation, but also by modifying their environment. - Socialization and cultural inclusion of people with disabilities through the current cultural and artistic directions of art brut, outsider art and disability art. The importance of the author's artistic work of people with disabilities and their presentation. Ways of presenting disability in the arts and in the media.

Practical exercises in drawing, painting and modeling based on individual and group projects. Students will apply their previous theoretical knowledge of the issue. class discussion, group projects
