- Gaining basic orientation in current artistic tendencies and knowledge of the corresponding theoretical literature

- Students are oriented in the current operation of art, know the key personalities and developmental steps in the art of recent decades

- Current concept of interpretation of art work, concept of avant-garde, modernity and post-modernity, communicative aspects of an art work, personalities of contemporary world and Czech art
