- Obecné sylaby jednotlivých předmětů: (AJ, NJ). Společný základ: Cizí jazyk A, B, Cizí jazyk C, D: V rámci nepovinně-volitelného předmětu Cizí jazyk A, B si student upevní dosažené jazykové znalosti ze střední školy, v povinně-volitelném předmětu Cizí jazyk C, D si rozšíří svoji jazykovou kompetenci o odbornou terminologii studovaného oboru, zdokonalí se i v dalších akademických lingvistických dovednostech. K získání zápočtu se vyžaduje aktivní účast na jazykových cvičeních a úspěšné napsání zápočtového testu. Pro složení zkoušky se vyžadují dva zápočty z předmětu Cizí jazyk C a D. Ústní zkouškou z předmětu Cizí jazyk (C a D) se prověří odpovídající schopnosti četby odborného textu, jakož i komunikativní dovednosti podle zadaných konverzačních témat.

- 1999/2000 EXAMINATION TOPICS 1. Education In The Czech Republic Compared With The U.K. And U.S. Systems. 2. My Field of Study (a talk about academic subjects) 3. Mind, Body, Health And Sport 4. Gender, Race, Culture (incl. human rights, ethnic minorities, tolerance, etc.) 5. 20th- Century Problems (drugs, wars, environment, etc.) 6. Growing Up and Growing Old (adolescence, adulthood, ageing) 7. Rules and restrictions, Crime and punishment 8. Cultural Life – the Arts 9. Interpersonal Relations (friendship, love, etc.) 10. Non-Verbal Messages (body language, gestural, facial, eye communication) Examination requirements: - 2 credits (tzv. zápočty), - CONVERSATION on the given topics (based on the NFC Masterclass, and Academic Encounters textbooks) - discussion, analysis and translation of a 5 pages-SPECIAL TEXT prepared as a home assignment (A4 format,approx. 2000 words. SPECIAL TEXT: an English or American text linked to the student's field of study
