Course objectives

The subject of Media Culture is designed to contribute to the so-called media literacy of teachers at primary schools. Its aim is to arouse teachers interest in media studies. It tries to answer the basic question why to engage in media studies and how these studies can be beneficial. The subject deals with the way media work and explains how a media communication is created and how the media influence recipients life.

Assessment methods (in Czech)

Podmínky zápočtu: Vypracování zápočtové práce podle předem vypsaným témat nebo podle vlastního výběru, její úspěšné zvládnutí a odevzdání ve stanoveném termínu. Půjde o krátkou výzkumnou zprávu v rozsahu cca 2 stran v editoru Word při jednoduchém řádkování, která bude odpovídat na konkrétní problémovou otázku, např. Které pořady pro děti ve víkendovém vysílání veřejnoprávní televize lze označit za nejkvalitnější a proč? Které pořady ve vysílání Českého rozhlasu lze doporučit žákům s ohledem na vaše aprobační předměty? Jak vypadá aktuální žánrová skladba vámi sledovaného odborného časopisu? apod.
