Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to provide students with the basic facts on the history of Czech theatre and its prominent playwrights after 1945.
Syllabus
  • 1/ Czech theatre and drama from 1956 to 1962 – new generations of playwrights 2/ Alternative theatres 3/ Czech drama in the sixties of the 20th century – absurd drama, changes of the forms 4/ Czech theatre and drama in the 70th of the 20 century 5/ The development of the Czech drama during 90th in the 20th century – new tendencies
