In the compulsorily-optional English for Special Educators A, the students will consolidate their language skills from secondary school on B1 level, and will develop some academic skills in English(oral presentation, supporting arguments, discussion, etc.). Successful students will be credited for 1)Active participation in seminars, 2) Attendance (2 absences admitted), 2) Careful preparation for each seminar (home preparation will be checked at the beginning of each session), 3) Oral presentation, 4)Mid-term test, 5)The end-of-the-term test (70% passmark).

Course objectives

  • SP4BP_1AB1 Angličtina pro speciální pedagogy A Week 1 Course introduction and requirements; Introduction to the conception of language study at the Faculty of Education, MU; Introduction to language competencies according to CEFR (reflecting requirements of the course); Get-to-know activities Week 2 Education – the System of Education in the CR. Oral presentations in groups. Assessment methods
Credit requirements: 1)Active participation in lessons and careful home preparation for each lesson 2) Attendance - 2 absences possible 3) Oral presentation 4)Mid-term test - (grammar+vocabulary) 5) Final credit test (reading, grammar, vocabulary, passmark - 70%) The student who has not completed continuous assessment and all the requirements (including active participation) during the particular semester can not be credited!

Information on completion of the course: Pro úspěšné ukončení předmětu jsou předepsány v semestru průběžné kontroly, jejichž výsledky jsou započítávány do závěrečného hodnocení. Jazykovy kurz není určen pro začátečníky

General note: Zápis vyžaduje úspěšné absolvování vstupního testu CJV_AJA2 (obvykle v lednu). Počet míst v kurzu je limitován kapacitou pracoviště.
