- Course objectives
- The student will acquire konwledge of the classification of speech disorders, various divisions and classifications of defects and malfunctions. The student will be familiar with etiology and symptoms of communication disorders: aphasia, dysphasia, neurotic speech disorders, voice and speech disorders: rhinolalia, palatolalia, dyslalia, dysartria, voice disorders, voice hygiene, fluency disorders: balbuties, tumultus sermonis, symptomatic speech disorders. The student will understand the system of speech therapy intervention and application of the system of augmentative and alternative communication.

- Communication, communication process - interaction, verbal, nonverbal communication. Communication disorders - classification, etiology, symptomatology of : aphasia, dysphasia, neurotic speech disorders,disease of the nasal quality of voice: rhinolalia, palatelalia, disorders of articulation: dyslalia, dysartria, fluency disorders: balbuties, tumultus sermonis, symptomatic speech disorders. The system of the speech therapy - intervention. The systems of alternative and augmentative communication.
