Course objectives
The course is designed as an addition to the obligatory literary subjects. It focuses on consolidating, deepening and widening knowledge already acquired from Russian literature of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is based on a self-critical comparative approach of students. The object of comparison is always a specific work of Russian literature and its film adaptation.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand the relationship between literature and film; critically interpret a work in its various forms; understand the specifics of literature and film; actively use the comparative method; understand and analyze selected literary works; deepen own experience and knowledge of spoken Russian language.
