- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to understand and to explain the philosophy and prinziples of the European language Portfolio. The European Language Portfolio for various learners will be presented, the six european language levels suggested by the Council of Europe will be given insight into.

- 1. the history and reason for the development of the ELP 2. the aims of the Portfolio 3. the parts and their characteristic 4. the description of all international language levels suggested by the Council of Europe and built on A Common European Frameworkof Reference for Languages 5. comparison the descriptions with the common textbooks
