- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to deepen existing practical and theoretical knowledge on the art of translation of texts of fiction, literature, journalistic style. The course is scheduled hours of translation of texts on various subjects with regard to the requirements of individual students. The course focuses on theoretical and practical problems of translation. Problematic areas of particular texts for hours and discuss thoroughly solved through discussion. The emphasis is on translation into the mother tongue.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to: - to focus on the basic theory and practice of translation; - understand and use the correct terminology associated with translations; - in particular, to distinguish the texts in a stylistic way; - choose adequate vocabulary, characteristic phrases and phrases; - learn how to choose artistic means to enhance text; - practically translate texts from commercial Russian; - to translate journalistic and artistic texts, texts of children's literature; - adequate use of lexical means in translation of journalistic and artistic texts from / into the Russian / Czech language.

Practical Russian translation - Czech: Article from Russian newspaper / magazine / web-site. 8. Artistic translation. Theory of literary translation. 9. For one poor translation from Russian. Karel Hausenblas. 10. Practical translation from the field of literature, Russian - Czech: Марина Палей «День тополиного пуха». 11. Practical translation of journalistic, Czech - Russian: R. Sharp Teach children Czech. 12. Practical translation from the field of literature, Czech - Russian: excerpts from the book O. Sekora Příhody Ferdy Mravence.
