- Course objectives
- The student chooses an elementary or middle school that actively works with teaching assistants, and during the semester, the student first completes 10 hours of tutoring and then 30 hours of actual teaching assistantship with a specific assigned child. During this experience, the student actively works with both the teaching assistant of the school and the teachers who use the support of the teaching assistant.
- Learning outcomes
- Students organise and implement their own practice. If they are unable to find a placement, they approach the supervisor. The output of this practice is a written record, where the interviews are recorded in detail in the form of an observation record, followed by their own reflection on the interviews. The next part of the teaching practice, the actual assistant activity, is recorded in the form of a record of methodical preparations for teaching and the own critical reflection of the lessons held.
