- The students who wish to write their bachelor thesis at the department of mathematics enroll in this subject. Typically, this is in the second semester of the follow-up master programme and eighth semester of the long master programme.

- Course objectives
- The course is designed as a final course encouraging students to write their thesis meeting all the requirements placed on it. Completion of this course will ensure that the student submits thesis agreed by supervisor. The student should be ready for a successful defense of thesis and aware of the requirements stated by a commission on defense.
- Learning outcomes
- Experience with literature search. Gaining knowledge that exceeds the scope of the regular courses.
- Syllabus
- The student individually consults the supervisor on the topic determined after mutual agreement. Student finds and reads relevant literature and works on the outline of the master thesis, which will in particular specify the timetable of the work on the thesis.
