- Course objectives
- Aim of this course is learning, cognition of the folk culture in specific areas of Czech Republic and to discern the main differences between the folk songs there. The students should be able to apply these konowledges to singing and educational activities.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students should be able to diferently: - two basic types of folk songs in Czech Republic - the regional types of folk songs in different areas of Bohemia and Moravia. - they should know collections of bohemian and moravian folk songs. - they should know traditional culture, regional aspect

- Teaching methods
- Seminar, theoretical interpretation, presentation of folk songs, folk music, pictures and maps, collections of folk songs, class discussion.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for credit: Oral project (different subjects: knowledges about folk music in specific regions and their practical presentation, interpreter of folk songs and folk music, activities of folklore ensembles etc.). Theoretical essay could be completed with practical ilustrations (singing, listening to music, video).
