- Course objectives
- Students will be able to:
demonstrate understanding of the concept of continuous professional development;
prepare a plan for their own professional development;
share and evaluate their own teaching practices;
reflect on their own teaching practics, including the form of collective reflection with other fellow students;
design their own classroom research (action research). - Learning outcomes
- Students
will be able to make informed decisions in selecting positive aspects of different methods and approaches and create their own eclectic approach to ELT;
will be able to decide on their own plan for continuing professional development;
will be able to present the latest ideas and recommendations for CPD and share it with their peers;
will be able to critically evaluate options for CPD. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- Major part of the in-class sessions is dedicated to discussions about different forms of professional development and ways of implementing them in students' teaching practice.
- Assessment methods
- Continuous assessment consists of active participation in discussions based on assigned readings, regular contributions to discussion forums and work with online texts. Students will deliver a short presentation on the topic of their choice (training, networking, resources) and prepare a plan for their own professional development.
