- Course objectives
- This course prepares students to be able to use German scholarly texts in their studies as well as future professional life; it also develops their communication abilities in both spheres mentioned. Students work with written and recorded texts on B2 level with respect to specific features of the scholarly language in terms of lexical and stylistic devices as well as grammar. The course also involves giving presentations and writing abstracts, comments, essays and formal letters.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course, the student will be able to: - understand spoken LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR; - understand written LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR; - produce a formal email; - show a good command of selected grammar structures at B2 level of the CEFR.
