- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to be able to define the scope of work of a teaching assistant for children and pupils with hearing impairment. Orientation in the possibilities of supporting children and pupils with hearing impairments in kindergartens and primary schools; be able to justify reading difficulties in people with prelingual hearing impairment and to know the peculiarities of their written expression; to orientate oneself in the field of hearing loss in the field of education.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is able to define the specifics of working with children and pupils with hearing impairments; is familiar with the possibilities of supporting children and pupils in the inclusive environment of mainstream school facilities.
- Syllabus
- Assistant role and position. Legislation. Principles of correct communication with a child and pupil with a hearing impairment in an inclusive environment. Hearing impaired child in kindergarten. Pupil with hearing impairment in primary and secondary school. Communication, experiential and conceptual diaries. Czech language in the communication of children and pupils with hearing impairment. Communication with parents. Individual education plan.
