Course objectives
A cycle of Czech lectures on the development of the English theatre and drama in the Elizabethan Age, culminating in the work William Shakespeare and the practice and art of the King's Men. Individual lectures focus on major authors and their plays, on the companies and the development of the genres and theatre styles.
