- Course objectives
- This course is designed for the first cycle as a free continuation of Introduction to Translation. Again the students will be given the opportunity to try their skills in a wide range of texts, although this time the balance will shift towards fiction. The students themselves will contribute interesting texts in one of the pre-defined categories, e. g. short story, song lyrics, drama, TV/film script, scientific study, essay etc. One of the aims of the seminar is to help the students put in practice their knowledge of translation theory acquired in the compulsory introduction course. Assessment: class participation, final translation plus analysis.
