Course objectives

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with historical approvement of approaches to humour and dividing these approaches in 20th. century agreeably to science fields following. Teoretical base will be received by individual study, in lessons we will interprete acquired konowledges in literary works

Syllabus

• 1. Antiquity and Middle Age; 2. Renaissance, baroque, klasicism; 3. Positivism, vitalism, fin de siecle; 4. Philosophy of humour; 5. Psychology of humour; 6. Sociology of humour; 7. Linguistic approach; 8. Aesthetic approach; 9. Literary theoretical approach; 10. Structure features of humour

Assessment methods (in Czech)

70% účast, četba zadaných textů a jejich krátke písemné zpracování (tento písemný - cca 10 řádků - text je podmínkou k účasti v semináři!)
