Course objectives
The main aim of this course is to introduce each of the auxiliary historical science (diplomatics, sfragistics, codicology, chronology, heraldics, genealogy, epigrafics, historical metrology, numismatics), its content, beginnings and development, important personalities who influenced each discipline. Having done this course the students shoud be more familiar with historical sources and should be able to use them better. The course also includes the introduction to an archivist work and archives function and the archives in the Czech Republic.
