- Course objectives
- The lecture provides an overwiew of the Latin literary production in Europe from the late antiquity to the high Middle Ages.
- Syllabus
- The most important genres of medieval Latin literature and their development; Specific features of the medieval literature; Preconditions of literary development in the late Roman times; Overview of the Latin patristics; So called interim period in different parts of Europe; 9th-10th century - Carolingian Renaissance and Ottonian Renaissance; 11th century - beginning of the medieval Latin literatures blossoming;
