- Course objectives
- In the introductory lessons there will be presented the basic literature concerned by presenting and evaluating the syntheses of literary history in 20th century, including the literary history from 1999. In following lectures the main "controversial" themes will be dealt with (e.g. the love lyric poetry of the Middle Ages, medieval legends, genre system of Renaissance literature, the understanding of baroque literature, the importance of J.A. Komenský, artistic value of baroque homiletics). At the end of the course, the student should be able to understand specific features of old Czech literature; to use its genre system; to compare it with the model of the modern literature;
