Course objectives
At the end of the course, students will be acquainted with the history and present state of one of the most significant philosophical traditions - sceptical thinking. Students will learn about the history of sceptical thought, starting with ancient philosophy (especially Pyrrhonism and Kynism), Renaissance (Michel de Montaigne), until the forms of scepticism in Modern period. In the systematic part of the course, students will learn how to interpret thought of a sceptical indiviual and explain possibilities of individualism in the era of Globalism
