Course objectives
Cultural life at selected courts of Baroque Europa. Main objective: analysis of different arts from the point of view of politic and social context.
Syllabus
  • 1. Theory of nobility in the Baroque era.
  • 2. Baroque ceremony.
  • 3. Function of culture in the court life.
  • 4. Symbology.
  • 5. Culture of the court and different arts: architecture, sculpture, painting, music, theatre.
  • 6. Selected Baroque Middle-European courts: Vienna, Olomouc, Jaromerice.
