- At the end of the course the students will be able to critically evaluate linguistic means used as stylistic devices in selected genres.

- 1. Introduction. Def. of style and stylistics 2. The language of religion and political speech. Role of prosody. 3. Functional styles: scientific and technical English. Synopses. 4. Administrative style. Letters, instructions. 5. Legal documents 6. The language of media (journalese). Newspapers 7. The language of media. Advertising. 8.
