- Course objectives
- This course is an outline of Polish history, politics and culture since the Early Middle Ages to the present day. Historical and cultural specifics of the development of the Polish nation and territory and their influence on the forming of the modern Polish identity. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the history of Polish lands, nation and culture since the half of the 10th century to the beginning of 3th millennium; to analyze some contemporary problems and phenomenons in Poland.

- Lectures are combined with class discussions.
- Assessment methods
- Credit requirements: attendance (3 absences per semester are allowed), 2 written tests during the semester (2x10 points) and final test in credit-week (50 points). Student need to score a minimum total of 40 points from the tests to gain credit.
