Course objectives
After finishing the course students:
- understand the issues concerning documents from the historical point of view;
- acquire basic methods of documents’ classification;
- are familiar with rules of work with scientific texts;
- acquire practical skills essential for creating scientific texts;
- are able to apply acquired knowledge on the creation of various types of scientific texts
The subject mater contains the teoretical and practical part: the lecture will inform about basic kinds of printed information sources. This knowledge will be tested ibn seminars during searching information and the creation of the scientific text.

Teaching methods
The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
Assessment methods
Requirements for obtaining the credit are: writing a seminar paper and passing a written test.
