- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with Norwegian post-war cinematography. The course relates freely to the course Scandinavian Cinema I. Those who attend both courses will gain a comprehensive knowledge about Norwegian cinema. We will deal with the works of directors Arne Skouen, Edith Carlmar, Erik Løchen, Wam & Vennerød, Anja Breien, Marius Holst, Erik Skjoldbjærg, Hans Petter Moland and others. The main point of view will be film as a refelection of the time - ergo as a medium mirroring the changes of Norwegian society in the 2nd part of 20th century. The showing of selected films will be the part of the course.
