Course objectives
The aim of the first part of the course (VH_726a)ist to provide basic orientation in both theoretical and historical problems of hymnology.
Syllabus
  • The subject of the course is made up by the following thematic spheres: 1) Basic therms and categories; 2) Historical problems of the Czech hymnology; 3) The church song as a musical and literary work I. Teaching methods
Class (1,5 hours per week); within the class a combination of teacher - led activities and student - centered/group learning activities will be employed.
Assessment methods
The course is ended by a credential interview,success of which is based on: 1) Reliable knowledge of historical development and theoretical problems of hymnology given by the syllabus and lectures; 2) Reliable knowledge of basic literature on the subject.
