Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: - formulate a research topic and its hypothesis - realistically evaluate methods, sources and extension of a research projekct - to present theses of the research to the colleagues - critically evaluate others research and co-operate with colleagues on a solution of a research problem
Syllabus
  • The seminar will focus on a discussion on research topics which are related to students B.A. and M.A. thesis and which are, at the same time, focused on the history of Czech cinema from the 1930s to the 1980s. The seminar will try to constitute thematic clusters and support a co-operation of the students on interconnected topics.

Presentation of student s own research - 40% Deep knowledge of literature from reading list and an ability to use the knowledge in the discussion at the seminar - 30% An active participation in the seminar discussion - 30%
