- Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows:
to understand selected passages from Tacitus' works;
to be able to describe these passages from linguistic and stylistic points of view;
to be able to use information acquired in other courses to comment upon historical and literary context of Tacitus' works (on elementary level). - Syllabus
