- Course objectives
- The course aims to introduce new phenomena and aspects of contemporary Italian Language in its different contexts and aspects (numbers, signs, symbols) with an eye to the politically-correct use of Language. A special relevance will be stressed on spoken language.
- Syllabus
- Analisys of contempoarary Italian Language as it appears in different contexts (school, young people) and aspects (numbers, signs, symbols). A special relevance will be stressed on spoken Language. Students will be asked to read specific texts and watch video materials.

- Teaching methods
- Lecture: exposition and definitions of basic terms and their exemplification on different types of specific text, proceeding from diverse registers. Seminar: application of theoretical knowledge on authentic texts. During their presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific text.

- Once enrolled in the course, active attendance is mandatory (min. 75%). Examination: written
