Course objectives
This course aims to teach the fundamental principles of scholarly work on a papers and its presentation including writing of the research project. It is recommended to students writing their theses such as those for the Bachelor Degree examination. If they do not work on such theses, they may use a mock material according to their own choice.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
Understand and explain specific features of scientific text and genres and styles of scientific writing; understand the process of writing; apply selected techniques of writing; analyze sources; write on empirical research.

  • Analysis of scientific resources.
  • Data, facts and arguments.
  • Numeric data, tables and graphs.
  • Styles of scientific writing and methodology of research.
  • Writing for purposes of grant applications and fundraising.
