Course objectives
During the course students will acquire substantial knowledge concerning directions in literary theory which either redefine structuralism, postmodern philosophy or find inspiration in other philosophical schools;
students will be able to apply the studied strategies in their own theoretical thinking and writing of an essay;
students will deepen their knowledge of the dynamics of 20th century literary theory;
students will be able to evaluate the utility of the theories under discussion, as well as the theoretical and philosophiocal background of these theories

Teaching methods
Seminars, seminar discussions, homeworks
Assessment methods
70% attendance, reading the assigned test at home, active participation in class discussions. The main aaignment is the writing of an essay.
