- Course objectives
- The basic purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the most significant activity of the institutions that play an important role in the daily life of ordinary Scandinavians. In this context, the course will focus on the Nordic Council as the supreme body of mutual Nordic cooperation, the Institute of Ombudsman highlighting the Swedish model as the cradle and the the Swedish Constitution will also be briefly discussed with regard to profiling students.

- 1. Ideological factors leading to the creation of the Nordic Council 2. Input of the Nordic Council on the international scene 3. Activities of the Nordic Council and its impact on the lives of ordinary Scandinavians 4. Ombudsman - History 5. Ombudsmen in Sweden and Scandinavia 6. Comparison of the Czech and Swedish ombudsman model 7. Basic information about the Swedish Constitution and the values it protects.
