Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to introduce the students to Chinese language and culture and acquire basic knowledge of this language.
At the end of the course ,students should be able to:
-Have a daily conversation with native Chinese speaker.
-Have a good pronunciation of Chinese letters.
-Knowledge of grammar and the ability to write simple sentences.
-Read simple text, written in Chinese language.
-Understanding when other people are talking in Chinese language.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - use spoken and written version of new vocabulary - use new grammatical phenomena - answer to basic questions and create basic sentences - react properly in basic dialogue on textbook topics

  • The modern Chinese is taught according the Integrated Chinese 1.1 textbook, following the order of the textbook's lessons.

Teaching methods
The course is taught by a native speaker who combines various and easy methods.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Evaluation Method: 1. Criteria: ( 70 %↑, can attend final exam.) Students have the right to participate in the Final exam only if they have total score (attendance + assignment + test + discussion) above 70%.  Attendance 30% 3 unexcused absences allowed during the semester.  Assignments 30% You have to hand in your assignment on time. Besides, please finish the assignment before the class. 1 late assignment 23% 2 late assignment 16% 3 late assignment 9% 4 late assignment 0%  Tests 20% After every lesson, there will have a test next time. Moreover, we will have some unannounced tests sometimes.  Discussion 20% Students should preview the textbook and participate in class discussion aggressively. ========================================================= 2. Final exam (oral and written part, 70%↑: pass, 70%↓: fail) above 70 % pass, less than 70 % fail Pozn: Studentům není dovoleno střídat skupiny, leda ve výjimečných případech výslovně předem schválených vyučujícím.
