- Course objectives
- The course is designed for students who are interested in teaching Czech as a foreign language and want to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. Students can participate in various research and practical tasks (eg. grammar exercises preparation and verification of their functionality, testing the results on the target group, creating web and mobile applications for Czech as a foreign language). New tasks will be given for each relevant semester. Students will work in small teams or alone; they will apply for the selected topic and, after filling the capacity of chosen topic, will contact the project manager. The topics are listed in - Topic lists. The coursework consists of consultation with the supervisor and/or the consultant: an introductory meeting will be held with assigning the topics, there will be consultations during semester followed by submission of results and final evaluation of student's work. Team members will also collaborate via online communication using appropriate tools such as Facebook groups, document sharing on Google Drive, etc.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Apply theoretical knowledge from teaching Czech as a foreign language to the processing of practical tasks
- Manage team work (division of tasks, communication with the supervisor and team members, fulfillment of tasks and abiding the deadlines, etc.); take responsibility for an individual task
- Use online tools for teamwork
- Use the acquired knowledge and skills in further studies and in practice. - Syllabus
