II. Cycle programme scope presumes knowledge of topics and literature of following subjects: PSA 052 Counselling Psychology PSA 023 Psychological Diagnostics of Adults PSA 053 Psychological Diagnostics of Children and Adolescents Furthermore attendance of informative meeting is compulsory. Date and place of meeting will be given to students via email well in advance. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- There is requirement of one week short-term attachment in ‘Marital and Family Counselling Services, ’Centres of Social Services’ and other relevant institutions of ‘Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs’.
Aim of subject study is to acquire basic overview of psychologist’s work inside these organisations i.e. psychological practice within framework of specialized field of marital and family counselling. This includes confrontation of theoretical knowledge with the practical reality of particular workplace. - Learning outcomes
- The student acquires:
- basic knowledge and orientation in professional practical subjects creating scope of working activities of psychologists inside these organisations,
- basic experience in elaboration of case study in field of marital and family counselling,
- basic knowledge of structure and organisation of particular workplace.
The student will be able to develop the required background from the practice at the appropriate level of processing. - Syllabus
- One week internship at a chosen workplace /at total 5 days of practice / can students find independently according to their own preferences.
- The list of recommended sites can be seen at the Secretariat Psychological department and on its website. In case of doubt whether a specific area meets the requirements it is recommended to consult the case with the lecturer in advance.
- Participant must hand in a document that contains:
- - a description of the workplace: an organizational integration, a quality of work, solved problems, description of a trainee’s participation,
- - a case report / currently solved case /: you shall describe a specific case, which was during your internship discussed, including your own proposals for further psychological treatment,
- - an evaluation of the practice: student summarizes the specific contribution of internships for his professional and personal development as regards to the theory.

- Teaching methods
- Five days short-term attachment in practice at recommended workplace is required. Students’ obligation is to submit to rules of chosen workplace and observe standards of professional ethics.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for obtaining of credit are: - Submission of ‘Protocol about completion of short-term practice in marital and family counselling’ - Confirmation of student’s participation in practice - Assessment of practising student by his supervisor at organisation workplace - Submission of written paper comprising description of workplace, case study and reflection on practice. - All the documents must be also uploaded to IS
